Last year for V6 was 2003. No reason to avoid them, just be aware of the specific maintenance requirements.
If you are a performance oriented driver (like faster acceleration, better brakes, stiffer suspension) then the Aero (250hp I4) is for you. If it's just comfortable transport then a Linear (185hp I4) might fit the bill. Arc is the middle 'luxury' model (200hp V6 til 2003, 220hp I4 2004-2005).
