I have two cars not the same both GM I am just getting an idea of what the compressor should do. thoughts and advice?

9-5
cold engine off 90psi lowside 90psi highside
running with ac on max 39psi lowside 225 psi high side
raising the idle up the lowside drops rapidly to around 30 then climbs up slowly as idle drops.

Grand Prix GTP
cold engine off 100 psi lowside 100 psi highside
running with ac on max 40 psi lowside 225 psi high side
raising idle up the lowside drops slowly to 32-33 and then sits there until the fans cool the condenser.

So both seem to be working the same? compressor wise. temp was 75 degree's on both ambient air. or at least they seem to work similar.

So my question is if anyone might have an idea as to why my saab 9-5 cooling is coming and going as i drive it comes on then the air warms then the air cools back down. It doesn't ever get EXTREMELY cold but you can tell when it goes off. I also noticed a code 22 when the a/c is blowing warm but it disappears when the ac comes back on. I replaced the evap temp sensor and the pressure sensor thinking it was due to defroster or pressure sensor causing what almost is like a slow short cycle. the cooler it is outside the less it does it but once it gets above 85 degree's the a/c hardly works at all. The fans and both speeds do work when I jump them and also when a/c is working. also the car does not overheat either.

I also noted that the ac low side hose is only slightly cold on my saab but the highside is actually hard to touch it gets so hot along with the condenser. Is this a sign the expansion block might be bad? as for the grand prix the high side was hot, but the low side was dripping and extremely cold.
