Only Saab knows for sure the relationship between the motor number and the VIN.
It might show up on the IRIS report for the car, but who knows.
"Exceeds mechanical limits" is usually tacked on my the state registrar of motor vehicles, and 99% of the time on a Saab, it's flat-out wrong. Saab has not sold a car with a 5-digit odometer since the mid 70s. All of them, mechanical or not, can read up to 999,999.9 miles (or KM, if your car uses those measurements...). I've tried to get it fixed in NJ, but the trouble is more than it's worth.
