I have a 2001 Aero with 110K miles. I bought it a few years back when it had 75k miles. It just started some serious misfiring issues. Here is some history first. When I bought it it had the original dic and the numbers were within the recall so I brought it to the dealer and they put a new one in. Car was purchased from an independant. I have experienced some stumble on highways and replaced the CPS and also had the TB go into limp. I put a rebuilt TB on and within 15 months the TB went into limp home mode twice. The car has been in my garage for the past four months because I was using another car. The rebuilt TB company gave me another rebuilt TB that I put on. While in the garage I retorqued the headbolts and put a new serpentine belt on. I had to get the car on the road the other day because my other car had a serious breakdown. TB went into limp mode which I rest. On the second day of driving the 95 I noticed a jerking on the highway. Same on day three. today it stalled and I got a CEL. It even flashed a bunch of times which I understand to be a bunch of misfiring. I was actually coming back from the parts place to put in some new NGK BCP6ES -11. I was able to limp home. Before I put the plugs in I was able to get codes read at Autozone, P0103P1300, P0301 (misfire on #1). I put in the plugs and disconnected the battery to clear the codes. I took it for a ride and it was fine until 10 minutes it started misfiring and flashing CEL but no steady CEL. I drove it later very easy. When ever I pushed it a bit or went up a steep hill it would jerk and the CELL would flash. So Tonight I got the flashing cel again and now it is a constant CEL. Could the DIC that was replaced three years ago have failed or what else could it be.
