Update on 3 problems from Sept 2 post..... Posted by TonyJ [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Village Saab took care of most of the end-of warranty problems. Here are the ones I posted:
3. Warnings (Brake+ ABS+ESP) intermittently appear, usually at starting; clear at subsequent start.
They replaced the right rear wheel sensor, which only comes with the whole bearing assembly. It's been OK since.
4. Creeps up to ~10mph in drive if we don't hold brake; idle too hi? ~900 RPM.
This problem was caused because they had turned up the idle attempting to solve a minor rough idle problem when cold (it didn't). On request, they turned it back down. It's been OK since.
5. Driver's power seat quit once; OK since after momentarily pulling fuse (Not blown).
New info: Happened again, but pulling fuse didn’t fix it. Problem shows up when seat was left in memory position 2; then pushing buttons with driver’s door open.; neither memory buttons nor controls do anything. But, If driver can fit, it begins working after door is closed and car started.
They couldn't re-create this problem (understandable). We know how to work around it.
Overall, they did a good job, even throwing in a free oil/filter change.
