First, good luck; Les is right, you bought a good car. The recommendation to follow a 5K mile oil and filter change schedule is good advice.....use Mobile-1 0-40W full synthetic.
I have a 2007 9-5 Aero that I bought new 14 mos. ago; it now has 20K miles. It is proving to be a very reliable car. There have been a few warranty items all of which would go in the extremely minor column.
There was one recall you should check on. The routing of the power steering hose chaffs against the right side of the radiator; I seem to recall that it does apply to the 2006 model year. Mine was taken care of at 15K miles; at that point there was significant wear but no power steering fluid leak.
I unplugged fuse 35 to get rid of the DRL’s; as a bonus this should extend the life of the xenon bulbs. I added the Bluetooth kit…..great functionality. Also, I refitted the inner halogen lights….this provided flash-to-pass functionality with fuse 35 removed. Finally, I added a combination oil pressure/voltmeter gauge.
