I have recently become aware of the advertised overboost feature in my 2001 Aero that supposedly allows higher boost for 20 second intervals. I tried to see if my car would do this recently on the highway. I floored it and it went part way into the red. This was after driving for about 10 minutes. I tried it about three or four times within three minutes and it boosted part way into the red. But after the three or four attempts it would not do it any more. I never had it floored for more than 20 seconds, maybe 4 at the most at any given time. Some days it won't boost into the red at all. The other day it boosted into the red and i experienced what I think was fuel cutoff a few times and then it wouldn't boost into the red again. Are owners out there able to overboost all the time with thier cars or is it intermitent like with my car. I don't know if something is wrong with my car. The fact that i have hit fuel cutoff may indicate something is wrong.
