burned particles in oil...

Hello Saabers,
I recently changed the oil on my '99 9-5.
While transferring the oil from the pan to a bottle for recycling I noticed some debris at the bottom.
I ran a powerful magnet thru it first to see if the items were made of iron, NO they were not.
Then I picked it up with my finger and it was like burned scrapes of plastic, kind of rough to the touch and would wither away if rubbed between your fingers!
What do you think it is and should I be concerned about sludge???
TIA
Bob
