Moby, my 9-5 Aero SportWagon got new shoes yesterday, Ventus cheapies from my trusted tire supplier, Mike at Lutz Tires on Market Street here in San Diego, he's the best. I buy what he tells me to buy and his recommendations always hold up well. Never heard of Ventus either......
Interestingly first set of really new shoes as when I was in the Saab biz all those years I had a ready made supply of free CPO takeoffs, good OEM tires with 6/32nds left.
The picture is significant because I wanted a shot of the car with the front spoiler freshly redone. Well that was only about 90 days ago and it's already split, scraped and sagging. I was gonna' start a pool on Saabnet for how long it was gonna' last, but by the time I got around to it, it was already too late. It doesn't even go up and down my own friggen' driveway without dragging.
Pretty soon 100,000 miles, I think I'm at 97k ish now. No regrets, bought her 5 years ago and just paid the last payment and got the title. Only one current issue, the dreaded orange relay, other than that she's sweet. Still my favorite interior of any car on the road. And we get plenty of use of the wagon part both surfing and working on our property.
