Folks,

I've read previous messages comparing S60 to 9-5, but I have a rather different predicament. My current car ('07 Saturn Aura XR) is being repurchased by GM after numerous faults, so I found myself in the market again.

Clearly, I am a Saab fanboy having owned a '99 9-3 for a while. I found a wonderful '08 (brand new) 9-5 Aero sedan that I very much liked.

I always stayed away from Volvos because they seemed rather floaty to me. But I stopped by the Volvo dealer by my house and he still has two brand new 2007 (!) S60 R's in stock.

I drove the S60 and was amazed by how it handled. But, I know rather little about the car, its reliability, etc.

So, here are my two choices:

(1)
2008 Saab 9-5 Aero Sedan (auto) with the visibility package - the car was offered to me for $29,750 (Is it a "good" deal, or should I negotiate further?)

(2)
2007 Volvo S60 R A SR. The car is being offered for $29,990 (MSRP $47,920). Again, is it a "good" deal? S60 has the following options:
climate package, navigation system, Dolby Prologic Sound package, Geartronic transmission, rear park assist, 18" Pegasus wheels, and Volvo on-call.

I am a bit torn right now as I was pretty much settled on getting a 9-5 in two weeks, but I was completely blown away by S60's driving dynamics.
