Amsoil Flush works great. Posted by MikeJavo [Email] (#1093) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MikeJavo) on Tue, 25 Nov 2008 10:13:33 In Reply to: Re: Confused?, Don S, Tue, 25 Nov 2008 09:21:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I perform a flush using the Amsoil Engine Flush every 2 or 3 oil changes. It requires removing an oil filter, and using a cheap filter for the 15 minutes you run the car at high idle (1500 RPM).
The results have been amazing. When I bough the car, I found some "coffee grinds" with the coat hanger. The next oil change, after a flush, no sign of sludge, whatsoever.
For the reason that Ian mentions, I would not do regular oil flushes. For the record, the actual Flush smells of detergent, and not very "solventy", so I am not too concerned about the odd flush.
