What I consider a full drain/replace procedure is to drain and refill three times within a few hundred miles, to more or less get the old stuff out and new in (however well that works). You know the drill. Drain what you can, fill, drive, repeat twice.
That's what I thought you meant.
My only qualm, then, about your approach is that you leave a majority of the old stuff in there and only add a small amount of new clean stuff at each interval. Next drain, you're also draining out some of that new stuff. It would be more "complete" to do the three-step process every 30K than to replace a little of the old every five. But again I don't think these transmissions care very much.
