OK, so for SAAB experts out there, here's what I got with 03 Linear 2.3 lpt :

1) CEL randomly comes and goes for the last 30+K miles.
2) Usually on for a few days, turns off by itself for a day or two, then repeat over and over.
3) Under warranty, dump valve, air temp. sensor, WG control valve replaced, WG cleaned.
4) O-ring between TB and intake pike replaced twice (I find it gets extruded after 20K miles or so)
5) TB cleaned.
6) New spk plugs every 20-25K.

So basically however the dealership 'diagnose' the issue from the codes pulled with Tech 2 and do the 'fix', it did not seems to cut the mustard.......

However, one consistent thing I have observed over 30K miles and a numbers of fixes is that CEL tends to come on and off during warm weather (i.e. 40F and up), while it barely comes on under colder climate (i.e. 5-month Michigan winter.) There is no noticeable performance/ drive-ability issues, regardless CEL on/ off or 'fixes' done to date.

I did tell this to the dealership, but their response is 'Oh I can not change the weather....' Seriously, I think they have no clues and now out of warranty, I would like to pin-point the issue instead of taking a shot-gun approach.

Has anyone experienced similar? What could be triggering CEL in this case? It appears to be temp.- dependent, which could be related to air density/ pressure driven issue. My guess is some parameter(s) being monitored in the system is on the boarder line and warmer amb. temp./ less dense air/ pressure in the system is randomly throwing CEL.

I appreciate pointers from the experts.

Thanks.
