I agree with everything B Millar stated, other than the life of the Garrett turbo-charger. I have 239,000 miles on my turbo, and I don't think that is unusual when the turbo is properly cared for (i.e. regular and frequent oil changes using synthetic oil only).
The Aero is three years newer and has significantly fewer miles. The '02 may be past due for the 60K service - (a $1k bill if you don't D-I-Y) - and if not done as scheduled would be a sign of neglected maintenance! The PCV issue appears to have been resolved with the '04 model year, meaning no isue with the Aero and a potential issue with the Linear.
What about service history on both cars? How were both driven?
If the Aero was used and abused by its previous owner it may not be the smart choice, otherwise I would probably go for the Aero also.
