Unless your battery or cps were already failing, that belt shredding has nothing to do with them. Especially if the pulley failure was sudden.
If your belt started slipping before the failure, you may not have been fully charging the battery. But I'd bet you'd have heard the belt slipping.
The CPS would seem totally unrelated to me.
When a pulley froze and shredded a belt on my 99 wagon, neither of the other parts in question were effected.
