0=off, 1=on. But I was playing around with mine last night (for the main rear view mirror) and turning it on/off didn't seem to make much of a difference? Do they turn on/off that quickly? I found when traffic was right behind me, the mirror didn't dim that much. More noticeable when lights were a bit farther behind.
Wonder if I have to calibrate? Not sure how I can tell if the main rear view is dimming properly or not.
