Even with the battery cover off there is a fuse holder in the way unless you have a child sized hand. The spade connectors have to be removed before you can free the old lamp from the retaining spring. They were on so tight that the only way I could get the bulb out was to hold it in place with one screwdriver and break the back off the bulb with another. Also, because one can only get two fingers at a time into the opening I dropped the lamp once and it went into the recesses of the housing and I had to get out my spring loaded grabbing tool. Overall it took 30 minutes of swearing.
I note that in the owners manual it says the front turn signal lamps should be replaced by a Saab service tech. I am not looking forward to that job.
