I have had my 99 2.3lpt 9-5 for about 3-1/2 yrs now and have never had a successful code scan. My mechanic has tried a couple of times and the local parts store guys have tried with no success. I got my hands on one the other day and could not get a connection. I tried the same scanner on my wife's volvo and it worked fine. I checked the connector and one of the wires was pushed out the back of the connector. I pushed it back in and still no go. On my 16-pin connector, I only have 5 wires. I did not write down the colors, but the wires are in pin holes 2,3,4,7 & 8.
The scanner I was using didn't even have a pin for position #8. I am wondering if the wires are wrong on my connector. Anyone else experience this situation
