the size of their cupholders? I'm with you, Vikingman. Cupholders are a huge non-issue for me. I only carry 12oz cola cans, or 20 oz bottles; these always fit in the 9-5 dash holder. Even with the large fountain drinks, the To-Go cups have shapen bottoms that fit into the cupholder. So why is this a problem? Are we drinking from large buckets or paint cans? 75% of all to-go beverages fit in our cupholders.
For the most part, manufacturers and traffic enforcers do not smile upon drinking beverages while driving. With distracted driving becoming more and more of an issue, why give the driver one more large distraction?
Furthermore, some of the best cars every built come cupholderless. The Porsche 911 (prior to the 996) is the first that comes to mind.
Cheers,
Brian.
