Thanks. Google, of course, listed more than I needed to know about Gleitmo 805. I used a white grease to lub inside the sockets.
Replacing two 9.5 SW rear hatch gas shocks took about three hours but chiefly because I was being very careful not to damage the partially removed headliner or smear grease inside of the car or on any trim pieces. Also inspected both sides of rear hatch wiring harness. Noted no abrasion or obvious wear. Hatch almost wants to jump open and is much stiffer than our other 2001 9.5 SW. Leaking oil from the two removed shocks was noted and could be seen on the upper (roof) side of the headliner.
