I have the Remus exhaust too and yes it does come without the center muffler and the rear muffler is smaller than stock. Nice sound. One thing to note is that a turbo charger makes a good silencer in itself and the cat helps, so there isn't much silencing left to do with a modern turbo charged car. The turbo splits each exhaust pulse as a cylinder opens up into a bunch of small pulses, greatly reducing the noise.

You can get a clue about the affects of a turbo charger on the NG900/OG9-3 board where people with the normally aspirated 2.3 engines complain about the Saab sport exhaust being way too loud while those with turbos think the same exhaust is just fine. So you will probably be ok putting in a straight pipe and removing the center muffler.
