I don't know the cost but unless your certain it's a rod bearing I would:
take off the serp belt and run engine. If you have a bad pulley on an accessory it can be deceptive
Also if it be a rod bearing I'd be concerned about what made it fail - lubrication problem - you know the drill about problems resulting from design issues in this engine.
It is an easy engine to drop the pan and inspect the bearings and you also get a look at the oil pickup screen
