According to the articles published in the papers, it seems that Fiat actually "is" profitable and could help Chrysler about "how to" restructure its activities and becoming profitable again. I guess Fiat's whole line of products, including Ferrari, has nothing to envy to the Neons and Caravan, nor the glued together Viper.
Fiat has the kind of expertise that could have saved Saab. Who knows, Chrysler could eventually build decent cars and make profits.
