Need help Identifying this part

I changed my heater bypass valve this afternoon with the help of information I found on this site. Took my time to make sure I did things right.
Started the car up and I immediately noticed a hissing sound coming from the engine as well as a really rough idle. I tracked the hissing sound to the line in the picture and upon wiggling it discovered the nipple on that valve, or whatever it is, broken. The hose fell off and now the check engine light is on.
Any idea what the part is, where I can get it and if I caused any damage?
