Rich -- I had considered this as well, and another option is just to dump the car back in his lap and say "we're not driving it like this -- fix it." The problem with that is I would like to know, for my own edification, exactly what is causing the leak. If they just plan to RTV it again, it's going to come back. I would like to get in there and clean it up well, then try to see what's actually leaking. Sadly, I am not confident that their service guy will go to those lengths.
For what it's worth, I do know the dealer (a small independent lot) quite well, and we have a very good relationship. We have bought a number of cars there and have referred folks to him on a few occasions. Hopefully with a little gentle leaning on him, the problem will be sorted to our satisfaction.
