Not trying to start the tire debate you didn't want, but we are still talking Michelins... I tried to buy the Pilot Exaltos through Costco last year when they were offering an $80 discount per 4 tire set. For some odd reason, my local Costco said they couldn't get them any more in the size for my 1999 2.3 lpt 5 speed 9-5. Othe SaabNet readers say this is BS. Anyway, with the Costco discount, I went for the Primacy MXV4 tires in the V speed rating. My wife drives the car mostly as a short commuter, but when I get it out on the Interstate every weekend, I really like the smooth and quiet ride from these grand touring tires. I had had terrible rear inner tire wear from Kumho and Dunlop brands before and I hope these Michelins will finally be the tires to really last and keep their great quiet ride with regular rotation. My 9-5 is at 152K miles after about 5K on these tires so far. If Costco offers another deal on whatever set of Michelins you consider, go for it! The sales price includes road hazard damage, and lifetime free rotation and balancing, albeit perhaps not quite as precise as a road force balancing procedure.
Best of Luck,
Kirk D.
