HELP: CEL + pothole + far from home + how do I check?

So I just drove about 400 miles to the NYC area for a wedding this weekend. I pushed my '03 Aero 5spd pretty hard ... but that's why I bought it. What I mean by that is I averaged about 75mph for the trip, basically cruising at 90mph when not behind other traffic. Ran the gas tank down to reserve light.
Filled up with $10 worth of Hess gas, which I never use but needed some gas to get into NYC.
Hit a huge bump in NYC at a decent speed. Made me nervous. Kept driving to my destination. Could have sworn I heard some new noises while turning the wheel and parking the car.
Four hours later.
I return to the car and start her up. The CEL is on. I'm guessing it's the CEL. On my '99 9-3 there was a "Check Engine" light. But now I see a small engine graphic beneath the "L" on my temperature gauge.
Checked the oil and coolant fluid. All seems fine. Could it be tranny fluid? Might the bump have knocked some seal out of round?
Where in the NYC / Northern NJ area can I get the code read for on a Saturday? The only codes my 9-3 threw were for a dieing ignition cassette and bad O2 sensor. I'm hoping (seriously) that it's something like an O2 sensor.
I have a 6 hour drive back home on Sunday. Don't want to get stranded.
Any advice or input would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
N
