In my experience and most others with a 9-5, the CPS will just cut the engine out right away, as if you turned it off with the key. A few people have reported shuttering but I don't know... I would be more willing to put my money on the DI Cassette or throttle body. The only way to tell is by getting that CEL code read. Keep us posted, and good luck!
