So I got my head apart and I picked up this lifter or tappet, and the piston fell out.
The retaining ring let go and was laying inside the mushroom.
I think some hydraulic lifters don’t have the retaining ring.
Anyway, I checked all the others and they felt tight.
Except one of them, the piston felt looser than the rest (side to side play).
Should I replace this one, what about the others?
Is there a way to check the valve in them?
They aren’t cheap, like $25 each…
16 x $25 = $400
Thanks
