After replacing batteries (only to have then fail again at ever increasing frequency), and installing a remote battery box (which never helped), I finally had a Dealership Tech disable my siren completely using the Tech-II device.
I still have an alarm system, still have audible alerts when locking/unlocking, but all sounds are from the horn rather than the siren.
No more siren wailings and it only cost me $25. Less than some of the replacement batteries I tried.
