Maybe you didn't get the arm to click into place on the green rollers. With just your fingers you can get the ball to snap into one detent but you need a plier to be able to squeeze the arm into the second detent on the roller, otherwise it will pop apart again.
It could also be that the arm is bent/twisted so that it apply side forces enough to twist out of the roller.
