I put Morse ceramic on ordered from autozone - 3 yrs back when we picked up the wife's 2004 ARC. I paid $48 - includes tax and no shipping. They have worked fine in over 40k miles - maybe half worn.
Would I pay $ 63 for Akebono's no for several reasons:
- I never cared much for Sonny Bono - but he's dead now RIP. Bono from U2 is alright though.
- $ 63 is too much when compared to $ 48. But that comparison may not be valid as $ 48 was 3 yrs back. Therefore I decree that the Monroe's are a much better value, hell for that price I might breakdown and finally put ceramics on my 1999 9-5 - which currently has the carbon pads I took off of the wife's 2004. Rims are now brake dust black after 10 yrs and no serious attempts to keep clean.
