If you pumped a lot of oil in the exhaust and the cat, it will take several days of driving for it to go away. On a Saab 900 years ago I had the turbo replace and it smoked like crazy afterward. Mechanic said just keep driving it. Sure enough in 3 4 days of driving I burned it all out.
If the car is running ok it could just be oil in the exhaust system.
Rebuilt turbos last for years by the way.
