According to Anders the “The V6 uses the same material in head gasket but doesn't leak due to a lot higher torque specs on the bolts.”
Is it going to hurt anything to torque the 4 cylinder head bolts tighter than WIS says?
4 cylinder engine: 44 ft-lbs plus 90 degrees
6 cylinder engine: 18.5 ft-lbs plus 270 degrees
I just did the head gasket and I don’t want it start leaking oil again.
I did add loctite around the 8 & 9 bolts and the chain opening.
