For carpet you simply cannot beat a home carpet hot water cleaner like the Bissell. You can scrub the heck out of the mats, then come back with the Bissell and see how much dirt you were unable to get out by scrubbing. The Bissell also works fine for cloth seats, though you need to be sure not to soak the foam too much.

I like the Griot's Garage stuff. They have interior cleaners and conditioners, and an excellent car wash. Why not buy their car care kit that includes a paint cleaning clay, wheel cleaner, car wash, carauba wax, etc - it has most everything you need in one kit. And order their car care handbook - it explains how to properly maintain your car's finish without damaging it through ignorance. Even if you don't want to lavish attention on the Ford, your new Aero will thank you for it.
