1) If you have another key, test it to see if it does the same thing. If not get your other key replaced RIGHT NOW. If for some reason the other key starts not to work you will have to replace the entire security system.
2) If you have the non-all-in-one key, you can get it fixed easily. The dealer should have the key "guts" in stock and they can replace it on the top of the key and then reprogram both keys. This will cost about $50-$75.
3) If you don't and all-in-one key and you would like an all-in-one key the best way is to get a new key shaft (from dealer) (pre cut with no guts or door). Purchase a used one on ebay (cheaper). Move the guts from the ebay key to the new key and have all keys reprogrammed. Total cost about $90 to $110. About $200 if you buy the guts from the dealer.
3.5) If you have an all-in-one key, do the same as above, but you will not need a new shaft.
In any case the dealer will want ID / Title if you order a shaft. Also, you will need all keys / remotes when you have them reprogrammed.
Mine was intermittent and the other key was working fine and eventually got the new key. You should NOT wait on this if the key is not working at all.
I did 3) and I wish I had done it a long time ago.
