sounds like your evap leak is bigger this time than in the past. if so the sealer may not be stout enough to seal it, and it may be time to go for a new evap. I'd be grateful that you got 3 years of service out of a failed evaporator.
On the other hand if you feel confidant that the leak is able to be sealed with this stuff again, I see no reason not to try it. I don't think that these leak sealers gum up internal components.
