Perhaps b/c the balancer isn't setting the machine correctly. You need to tell the machine the diameter of *each* balance circle (where the weights go) and the spacing between them. You might think this is easy, but consider that many of Saab's alloys need tape weights for the outer circle and either tape or clip weights for the inner circle. That means that the outer circle is of smaller diameter than usual, and the circles are closer together than the wheel width. Modern balancing machines have measuring probes that the operator uses to touch where the weights are going, but there surely are plenty of older machines out there that don't have that feature. The very best machine is the "Hunter 7500", which also happens to be a GM "Dealer tool".
