Turbo guage = airmass per combustion

Hi !
First, normally the guage will go in slightly to the red zone.
If it does´nt, it can be because of knocking, use hi-grade fuel.
Or, on the other hand, if it goes far into the red zone, well, there is likely something wrong with the guage.
With engine standing still and ignition in position ON, the guage should be between white and yellow, if not, it can be adjusted with a Tech 2 at your Saab workshop.
Secondly, the guage does not indicate pressure, it indicates the amount of air(mass) being drawn into each cylinder.
If the chargeair is hot, then you will need HIGHER pressure to get the correct amount of airmass, or in other words to produce the correct torque, compared with cool chargeair.
So, using a pressure guage is not the very best idea, sine the engine management system, Trionic 7 controls airmass/combustion not pressure.
