go to autozone or someplace and get;
"air conditioning & fuel line disconnect tool set"
there are plastic ones and metal ones.
only about $6
push the black plastic boot down and push the tool into the joint
then it will pull apart
it might be worth taking the head to a shop and having them clean it in their dunk tank.
the place that balanced my crankshaft did it for free.
i decided to put in new valve seals and was surprised how much junk was still left in the exhaust side after they cleaned it.
if you got 174 miles on it, probably a good idea to put new seals in.
unfortunately they are kind of expensive
