So after spending the good part of a week "Back East" in Annapolis, I'm glad to return home to my 9-5. The rental cars we had (a Rav-4 and Town & Country) just didn't do anything for me. The Rav-4 could not have been designed for anything but a teenage girl to drive - with the seat all the way back and lowered, I was still banging my knees on the IP! Lots of rear-seat room, since the front seats didn't go back very far! and the Town & Country ... my God... I now understand why Chrysler is bankrupt! The A/C - front and rear - did not work at all in the sweltering heat and humidity that is the East Coast. Some bearings must have been shot, since the car would constantly make horrible whining noises while driving - how embarrassing! It was practically new - a 2008 model!!

To top it all off, there were THREE 9-5s staying at the same Marriott that I was at! Talk about being homesick! (Hello to you other 9-5ers in Annapolis last week!)

But anyway, it was a good vacation - got to tour the Yard at Annapolis - a really, really nice campus! - DC a little bit too, and saw President Obama wave to our family at the USNA graduation/commissioning!
