twist to the oil light flicker

1999 95 104,000. I have had my oil light flicker and ring, when the car and outside temp are warm, and the rpms go under 1000.
My first time changing the oil on this car I put in synthetic oil. I assume there was regular oil in there before.
This week I changed the oil for the second time on this car and took the valve cover off. The oil filter felt heavy and had almost no oil in it. after draining the oil I weighed the filter compared with the new one. It weighed over 9oz extra.
While removing the valve cover I found that the pipe(air) that is braced to the valve cover and connected to the turbo, was very loose(about four turns out)at the turbo end.
There was some sludge but no wear visible or audible on the chain.
So could the loose connection or the "full" filter have contributed to the oil light flickering on?
I plan on changing the oil and weighing the filter after another 500 miles.
Thanksfor your time.
