Trailer drawbar rise

I'm planning to buy a trailer hitch for my '04 Aero Wagon - a Drawtite from etrailer, as they seem to have the best price. I'm only using this for a light utility trailer to transport lumber, take yard waste to the landfill etc.
Are there any strong opinions on what rise of drawbar to use with this hitch? Drawtite only recommends a 5/8" rise, which seems way too low. In europe I remember seeing similar wagons with 3-5" rises on their drawbars.
I'm thinking about ordering this one - http://www.etrailer.com/pc-C2~36063.htm And it looks like it should be long enough to clear the bumper, and provide enough space for the trailer head to fit.
I'd welcome any thoughts or recommendations.
