Got a 2000 9-5 wagon w/ 98K on it. in the past I've had the indicator light which says "check engine"(I call that, perhaps incorrectly, the CEL) come on and have had the codes reads and made appropriate repairs. Now the "engine icon" (my term) is illuminated (right below temp gauge) and the owners manual (pg 52, if curious) shows it but w/o explanation.
What does this icon indicate and does it throw codes like the other CEL? Thanks.
PS why the two indicators?
