I know this does not exactly answer your question, but I've had leaks in two cars, 1 a 97 VW GTI in the trunk, due to the rear brake light fixture not being tight enough in the back, and thus water would leak. That was an easy fix of the turn of the screwdriver luckily.
This other one, may apply to you, I had an 05 Subaru Outback XT Wagon, the sealant around where the factory roof rack went into the car was not strong enough, and water got in through that. Luckily that was under warranty, but the Subaru dealer basically just called some guy and it looks like he just put some new sealent around the contact points of the roof rack and the roof. When this happened though, the water for me was coming down and into the b pillar on the driver side.
The only other piece of advice I have, I know sometimes the drainage pipes for the sunroofs get clogged up with debris and that can cause a leak somewhere, so maybe check those drainage spots too to see if they are clogged.
