Removing Older OEM Radio can be hard Posted by jeff02 [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: remove cage with radio still in it?, silverSAABer, Thu, 11 Jun 2009 09:28:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just had to do this in a 2001 wagon. The only way was to remove the top display and then use your hand to push the radio while using the tools. Make sure to be moving the tools to the outside away from the radio and pulling on the tools slightly and maybe even from the tape opening (be careful) WHILE pushing from the back though the cage with some fingers. The radio seems to set in well with the connector. This did take a bit just getting the right angles, but it should work. For us the tools were working we just could not get enough force on the radio to get it out.
