Your talking about that thimble shaped thing that’s in the timing cover right?
With the spring forcing it up…
If so try a pair of needle nose pliers
Insert them in the port then spread them apart and pull the thing out.
You might have to bend the plier jaws to get it to work
Compressed air, maybe blow in the shaft that the oil filter goes over?
Not sure…
