NOT an ABS controller failure, necessarily.... C0131 Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Man what is up with all the ABS failures, I have read a few stories in the last week in addition to mine!
Anyway I won an ebay auction for bba-reman to rebuild my ABS module. $50 plus shipping both ways, great deal!!! :-D
However taking some good advice before removing my module, first I went to my saab indie mechanic this evening after work and had the code read for $21.
C0131 Pressure Sensor Failure.
Any ideas on cost/what's involved before they call me back tomorrow? The guy said he was surprised it wasn't the "bad communication" code that you usually see, which would have meant to just replace/rebuild the module... he also said they charge about $700 for this and they too use bba-reman so I am saving quite a lot by doing this myself, especially with the great deal on ebay!
However maybe it is not the controller issue after all? The mech wasn't sure and he said it might be the module going bad anyway since he was not familiar with this cose and would have to ask someone else in the shop tomorrow.
The problem was intermittent before, but since they read the codes and "cleared the lights" according to my receipt, at 5:30pm the chime and lights (!-triangle, ABS, BRAKE, and TCS-OFF lights) come on again as soon as I shift out of park!
