But others may beg to differ. I have owned two 9-5's and both have made a sound as you describe after turning the ignition off after having the ACC on. There is a flap in the dash, I don't know if it's the recirc flap closing or what, that closes or opens when you shut off the car. It's sort of an electrical motor/gear whirring sound as the flap closes.
