(Is the o-ring for the inlet tube something that I might find at local store?)
**I got my inlet o-ring from the dealer

(Can the oil feed tube be inspected easily, and cleaned if necessary, or should I just buy a new one?)
**You should be able to inspect it. It's short

(Since this turbo went catastrophic, and I continued to drive for a minute (or so) trying to get to safe place to pull over, belching smoke the entire time, should I assume that the intercooler has oil in it that I should try to remove?)
**If you see lots of oil in the hose from the turbo to intercooler, you might want to clean out your intercooler. Some oil is normal I say less than a tablespoon.

(I was probably 10 minutes into the drive, at mostly highway speeds when this occured. I don't know how hot the catalytic converter was at the time. Assuming that it wasn't hot enough to instantly get cooked with oil, should I try to remove it, dump (or clean some how) the oil out before starting car back up (with new turbo)?)
**Mine went at 80mph, the turbine sieezed and the turbo shaft broke. My compressor wheel was rattling around int he turbo housing.
Your car will smoke for a little while after you reinstall the new turbo. I drove mine for a mile or 2 at night and all teh smoke went away.

(Any other parts or things I should replace or do?)
***Prime the heck out of the new turbo before starting. unplug DIC and remove fuel pump relay and run the starter for 5 seconds a many times. Watch the turbo to exhaust manifold studs, the self locking nuts tend to stay put and the studs come out.
Change oil, flush coolant, and now is a good time to drop your oil pan and look for sludge.
